Let's talk about confidence. Most of us talk a good game, but do we truly believe in ourselves?
For so many years, I’ve let my insecurities hold me back. For example, I decided not to branch into broadcast journalism, because my mouth goes to the side when I talk. I won't dance in public, because I think I look crazy. I even freaked myself out of launching Rory Noir a few times, because I was scared of what people were going to think.
Sometimes, we can be our own worse enemy. I was reading Joel Osteen’s book, “You Can, You Will,” and I realized that God created us to be winners. He didn’t create us to be regular (Plug: Get My 'I'm Not Regular' Pencil). Greatness is in you. When you tap into your strengths and believe in yourself, you will be surprised at what you can accomplish. Don’t let those voices in your head win. Don’t worry about what people have to say. Be confident in yourself, and live out your dreams!
